About the artist
I was born in Quebec Canada into a French Canadian family, and from early childhood I have developed my passion for art.
I commenced studying art, theatre and dance in Montreal. After extensive world travel including South America, Asia, Middle East and Europe, I settled in Australia where I pursued my journey in art. I completed an Advanced Diploma in Ceramic and Visual Arts in 1999 and then exhibited nationally at the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Gold Coast and internationally in Dubai and Quebec Canada. Since settling in Uki NSW in 2007, I have dedicated my creativity to my art providing the time space and motivation most artists dream of.
I am a sculptor and painter principally working with clay as my favourite medium.
My paintings and sculptures are a fusion of clay, acrylic and mixed medium. Texture and vibrant colours bring them to life, or in some cases metallic effects are used.
My art could be described as naive. My images are strong and arresting, largely as a result of the three dimensional technique.
I am inspired by where I live and travel, nature, villages and the people.
I am fascinated by the story of the every day.
